REQUIREMENTS: current freight forwarding & logistics sales experience, a strong desire to succeed, discipline, detail oriented, motivated, high values and character. Some college or military preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and Maximizer. (or similar contact management software)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Business development of territory by calling, meeting, entertaining and networking with prospective clients in a productive, professional and timely manner. Account management, closing, client entertainment, proposal development, and networking events. Reports weekly itinerary, daily sales calls, and sales activity via contact management software. Attend weekly to bi-weekly sales training.
Candidate can be home-office based out of the following markets/regions: Northern Virginia, Suburban Maryland, Baltimore, Norfolk, Richmond, Roanoke-Lynchburg, Washington D.C., Raleigh-Durham or Greensboro. (other areas considered) The position would report to the Dulles-BWI Station located in Sterling, VA.
WE OFFER:
- Salary range of 35,000 - 65,000 (based on experience)
- Commission: realistic first year potential of 25,000+
